About the Role
Job Summary: Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. Drivers are expected to operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and reliable manner. • Operate vehicle according to WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe situations, service issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and best practices. • Notify of service interruptions such as closed streets, heavy receptacles, or safety hazards. • Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Dump receptacles and leave the site clean and free of debris. • Follow route assignments, complete end‑of‑day documentation and check‑out. • Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

What You Bring
Real ID: The position may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative. • Minimum 1 year of CDL‑class A or B vehicle operation (or equivalent military driving) within the last 7 years. • Age 18 or older and legally authorized to work in the country. • CDL Class A or B with air‑brake endorsement. • High school diploma or GED (preferred). • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
