About the Role
You will demonstrate your commissioning skills by leveraging the firm’s technology‑centric competitive edge while working with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to test, make operational, optimize, and validate mechanical systems in multiple 24x7 mission‑critical plants, healthcare facilities, power generation sites, or similar environments. This position involves developing and coordinating functional testing of multi‑stack equipment and multi‑redundant system configurations within a trade, as well as reviewing criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning. • Develop and coordinate commissioning plans consistent with ASHRAE Guideline O format. • Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi‑stack equipment and multi‑redundant system configurations within a trade. • Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation and provide peer‑review feedback. • Lead commissioning efforts with multiple trades and client management involvement. • Create operating procedures and technical instruction material. • Oversee 1–2 engineers on projects and report to them.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience commissioning large mechanical systems for industrial, data center, commercial, operations center, high‑rise, and healthcare facilities, complemented by self‑motivation, strong relationship‑building abilities, and effective communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in commissioning large distribution systems. • Minimum 6 years of field experience in hands‑on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large mechanical systems. • 3.5+–8 years of relevant MEP experience. • Basic understanding of proper system selection. • Basic understanding of practical application of LEED principles to building designs. • Thorough understanding of applicable codes. • Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO‑Cx procedures (a plus). • PE or recognized commissioning certification preferred.
