About the Role

The incumbent will plan, develop, and execute training events that teach partner‑nation stakeholders how to detect, manage, and destroy chemical weapons and conduct first‑responder incident management. Serving as senior instructor, you will deliver courses, workshops, and exercises, establish relationships with host‑country stakeholders, calibrate detection equipment, and prepare After‑Action Reports to refine curriculum. • Plan, develop, and execute international chemical security elimination training events. • Serve as senior instructor and deliver courses, workshops, and exercises. • Build and maintain relationships with host‑nation stakeholders and U.S. government clients. • Prepare and calibrate chemical weapons detection equipment for training. • Produce After‑Action Reports to continuously improve curriculum. • Coordinate with project, training, and logistics managers to meet government objectives. • Travel internationally and work on a part‑time, on‑call basis. • Manage distributed, multicultural teams with strong attention to detail.

What You Bring

Parsons seeks a talented Chemical Security Elimination (CSE) Training Subject Matter Expert to provide overall leadership and guidance for developing and executing CSE training events within a large, complex international program. This part‑time, on‑call role requires occasional international travel and supports U.S. Government clients in challenging, dynamic environments. Successful candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related technical field and bring at least ten years of relevant experience, including seven years of conducting CSE training for international U.S. Government projects. Military experience in Chemical Materials Activity or Recovered Chemical Materiel Directorate is highly valued, and candidates must be willing to travel internationally and work on a part‑time, on‑call basis. Desired competencies include proven performance in training environments, international project delivery, and chemical incident response. Excellent written and oral communication, strong interpersonal skills, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio), and solid project‑planning and detail‑orientation are essential. The role also requires the ability to manage distributed teams and coordinate effectively with foreign officials, engineers, scientists, and subcontractors. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field. • Provide 10+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years leading CSE training for U.S. government projects. • Possess military background in Chemical Materials Activity or Recovered Chemical Materiel Directorate (preferred). • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. • Apply advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) and project planning abilities.
