Material Associate - Forklift

About the Role

The role focuses on routine material handling within the manufacturing facility, ensuring continuous supply of materials to production or assembly areas and performing kitting to keep lines moving efficiently. Key duties include picking parts from Kanban or storage, placing them into kits, operating forklifts or hand trucks, sorting and counting inventory, inspecting parts for damage, documenting movements on tablets, and maintaining department databases and reports. • Supply materials continuously to one or more production/assembly areas • Perform kitting to ensure all required parts are at the point of origination • Pick parts from Kanban or storage and place them into designated bins • Operate stand‑up forklift or hand truck for part delivery and picking • Sort, count, and log inventory of parts and supplies • Inspect parts for damages or defects and report discrepancies • Trace or track lost parts and maintain accurate records • Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file kitter records • Document material movement using computer tablets • Follow OSHA safety standards and maintain a healthful work environment

What You Bring

Training for this position lasts 4–6 weeks and is conducted on the first shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm). After training, the regular shift runs from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The position requires a minimum of one year experience with a stand‑up forklift, strong organization, the ability to lift up to 26 lb, reach overhead, and stay on feet for long periods, as well as effective English communication and adherence to safety rules. • Lift up to 26 lb, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions while on feet • Work independently with initiative and problem‑solving skills
