About the Role
The role involves preparing concept, design development, permit, and construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD, AGI Lighting, and power‑study tools; ensuring all designs meet local code requirements; meeting with clients to align technical needs; performing field inspections, measurements, and calculations; coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors; and serving as Engineer of Record through peer reviews, QA/QC, and coordination with leadership. • Prepare concept, design development, permit, and construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD, AGI Lighting, and power‑study software (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP). • Verify design compliance with local codes and applicable provisions. • Meet with clients to coordinate technical and engineering requirements. • Conduct field inspections, measurements, calculations, and documentation. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver coordinated designs. • Act as Engineer of Record, performing peer reviews, QA/QC, and coordinating with supervisors.

What You Bring
Applicants must have a BS in Electrical Engineering, be a licensed Engineer in Michigan, and possess eight or more years of building electrical design experience. Required knowledge includes NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards, with advanced skills in Revit, AGI Lighting, and power‑study software preferred. Experience with switchgear, transformers, panelboards, generators, grounding, and willingness to travel to client sites are essential, along with strong English communication abilities. • BS in Electrical Engineering. • Michigan professional engineering license. • 8+ years building electrical systems design experience. • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards. • Advanced proficiency in Revit, AGI Lighting, and power‑study software (preferred). • Experience with switchgear, transformers, panelboards, generators, grounding, etc. • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed. • Excellent English reading, writing, and communication skills.
