About the Role

The Light Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of hand‑held and heavy machines such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, forklifts, graders and related tools on plant or construction job sites, while adhering to safety protocols. Key duties include reading and interpreting load charts and hand signals, performing daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance, reporting malfunctions, loading, transporting and unloading materials and supplies, and providing assistance to other craft workers as needed. • Read and interpret load charts • Follow hand signals to position materials • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment • Conduct daily equipment inspections, check fluids, refuel, and assess wear • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and supplies • Assist other craft workers as needed • Operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and various power tools • Work on uneven, muddy, rocky or soft surfaces and in confined spaces • Perform tasks requiring climbing, balancing, bending, crawling, kneeling, squatting, and standing • Make decisions, concentrate amid distractions, and maintain attention to detail

What You Bring
