About the Role
Your Impact includes leading the planning, design, and execution of municipal water, wastewater, drainage, roadway, and site‑servicing projects for public and private clients. You will guide teams through conceptual to detailed design, strengthen client relationships, and collaborate with municipal, utility, and regulatory agencies to keep projects moving forward. You’ll oversee budgets, schedules, scope, and quality, conduct site inspections, mentor emerging professionals, and contribute to proposal development. • Lead planning, design, and execution of municipal water, wastewater, drainage, roadway, and site‑servicing projects. • Guide multidisciplinary teams through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases. • Build and maintain client relationships as a trusted advisor from initiation to completion. • Coordinate with municipal, utility, and regulatory agencies to secure approvals and keep projects on schedule. • Manage budgets, schedules, scope, and quality to ensure predictable outcomes. • Conduct site inspections and provide technical oversight during construction. • Mentor and develop emerging engineers within the Calgary municipal design practice. • Contribute to proposal development, fee estimation, and RFP responses.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate brings 10–15+ years of municipal infrastructure experience, a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, and an active Alberta P.Eng. designation. Proven leadership of complex projects, deep knowledge of Alberta municipal processes, and proven design expertise in water, sanitary, stormwater, and roadway systems are required. PMP certification, mountain‑region project exposure, and a valid driver’s licence are assets. Health and Safety is a core value; you must comply with WSP’s HSE policy and client HSE policies on site. Safety‑sensitive positions require the ability to perform key physical tasks in varied environmental conditions, including remote or inclement weather. • Require 10–15+ years of municipal infrastructure experience, Civil Engineering BSc, and active Alberta P.Eng. designation. • Demonstrated design expertise in water, sanitary, stormwater, and roadway systems; PMP certification and mountain‑region experience are assets. • Valid driver’s licence and readiness for site‑based work.
