About the Role

The Contract Manager works closely with the HUB Transformers Contract Management team to apply a unified contract strategy, guidelines, tools and templates. They provide expertise in contract implementation, execution and administration, support the sales team during risk reviews, draft and negotiate agreements, and identify the contract baseline to highlight potential risks. Throughout a project’s lifecycle they defend Hitachi Energy’s interests, manage commercial aspects such as payments and claims, enforce standard change methodologies, and assist project management with risk mitigation and opportunity plans. • Coordinate with HUB Transformers Contract Management to align on contract strategy and tools. • Provide contractual expertise throughout implementation, execution, and administration. • Support sales team in risk review, drafting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements. • Identify contract baseline and flag potential risks. • Protect Hitachi Energy’s contractual interests across the project lifecycle, including change and claim management. • Manage commercial aspects of contracts such as payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, and guarantees. • Implement standard change methodologies to quantify time and compensation for contract changes. • Assist project management in developing and executing risk mitigation and opportunity plans.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a law degree (or related field) with a master qualification and have at least five years of contract‑management experience covering tendering through execution. A strong understanding of contract law and regional regulations, excellent communication skills, fluency in English (additional languages a plus), and proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams are required.
