About the Role
The immersive training takes place in Charlotte, NC, and prepares trainees with the technical foundation and business skills needed for success in technical sales. Participants receive a regional assignment before training begins in July, ensuring a seamless transition to their local market. Office locations for the Southeast market include Charlotte, Raleigh, Columbia, Birmingham, Orlando, and Tampa. • Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and market share targets set by management. • Lead and grow the assigned territory by cultivating new and existing accounts. • Routinely call on and support customers such as mechanical contractors, engineering firms, and facility owners. • Manage bid‑day operations, post‑sale submittals, and order‑entry tasks. • Perform take‑offs, prepare quotes, and promote Carrier’s product line at trade shows and events. • Assist with project‑management duties, including cash collection and accounts receivable after equipment shipment.

Trainees collaborate with experienced applications engineers and sales teams to design and implement solutions, troubleshoot challenges, and engage directly with customers. This hands‑on experience ensures that classroom knowledge can be applied to real‑world scenarios and builds confidence for independent field work. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (completed or expected by September 2026), a valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications are a four‑year engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong interpersonal and communication skills, technical aptitude, and any internship or work experience in HVAC, engineering, or sales. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (completed or expected by September 2026) and a valid driver’s license. • Be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Preferred: four‑year engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, technical, and collaborative skills; internship or work experience in HVAC, engineering, or sales is a plus.
