About the Role

The CAD Manager will lead the production of detailed CAD drawings for new and reconstructed bridges, culverts, and related highway structures, while also generating quantity take‑offs and reinforcing bar details. In addition, the role involves developing 3D CAD models, establishing design methodologies, performing QA/QC, supervising junior staff, and coordinating with clients to stay abreast of emerging CAD technologies. • Produce CAD drawings for new or reconstructed bridges, culverts, and highway structures. • Generate quantity take‑offs from CAD and surface model files. • Detail reinforcing bar layouts for reinforced concrete structures. • Implement client CAD standards into templates and develop 3D CAD models for substructures, grading, and alignments as needed. • Assist engineering and project management teams in developing CAD design methodology and practices. • Perform QA/QC reviews on drawings created by CADD staff. • Coordinate with clients and industry to stay current on CAD trends and emerging technologies. • Supervise junior staff and assess their training needs. • Support CAD workload planning.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold an associate’s degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology and possess at least ten years of CADD bridge or structure design experience. Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is required, with knowledge of 3D CAD, point clouds, and digital delivery considered a plus, alongside strong collaboration skills and the ability to work remotely. • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology required. • 10+ years of CADD bridge/structure design experience. • Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D. • Knowledge of 3D CAD, point clouds, and digital delivery is a plus. • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work remotely.
