About the Role
Joining the operations team places you at the core of maintaining and evolving critical infrastructure that powers the digital world. You will have a direct impact on customers, communities, and society while being valued and respected within the organization. The role leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient datacenter operations. It determines resources, processes, and priorities to meet organizational goals, while providing direction within established policies and recommending performance improvements across multiple functions. Financial execution, workforce planning, and translating strategic objectives into operational results are also key responsibilities. Key responsibilities include leading supervisors and technical staff, overseeing staffing, performance management, coaching, and development, and supporting testing, project execution, and incident response. You will plan and allocate resources for data‑center projects, maintenance, and capacity needs, contribute to budget planning and cost management, and manage contractor performance to meet KPIs, SLAs, and safety expectations. Additional duties involve ensuring proper testing procedures, authoring Maintenance Operation Protocol scripts, and directing on‑site incident response while coordinating communications and root‑cause analysis. • Lead supervisors and technical staff while fostering a strong safety culture • Oversee staffing, performance management, coaching, and professional development • Support testing, project execution, and incident response activities • Plan and allocate resources for data‑center projects, maintenance, and capacity needs • Contribute to budget planning and cost management • Manage contractor performance to meet KPIs, SLAs, and safety expectations • Ensure proper testing procedures, complete documentation, and operational handover of new builds • Author Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOP) scripts • Direct on‑site incident response and coordinate communication

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in data‑center operations or critical infrastructure and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Preferred skills include strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and critical infrastructure systems, experience leading multi‑layered teams, proven project‑management and vendor‑oversight abilities, and strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Familiarity with operational standards and continuous‑improvement practices is also valued. • 8+ years of data‑center operations or critical infrastructure experience • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and critical infrastructure systems • Experience leading multi‑layered teams and developing talent • Proven project‑management, vendor‑oversight, and capacity‑planning abilities • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills • Familiarity with operational standards and continuous‑improvement practices

Benefits
The targeted base pay for this position in New York City ranges from $130,000 to $194,000 USD, with potential for bonuses, equity, and additional benefits based on experience, skills, and education. Pay ranges are reviewed periodically and reflect the company’s compensation structure at the time of posting.
