About the Role

The role performs complex preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of equipment, including trucks and yellow iron. The technician repairs heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars. They diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air‑conditioning, and electrical systems, and follow a preventative‑maintenance checklist. Records such as work orders, card files, PM checklists, and oil samples are completed, and additional equipment like light plants, water pumps, and welders are serviced according to site‑specific procedures. • Repair heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, loaders, trucks, tractors, forklifts, and company cars. • Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air‑conditioning, and electrical systems. • Perform preventative maintenance according to checklists and complete work orders, card files, PM checklists, and oil sample records. • Service additional equipment including light plants, water pumps, welders, and other site‑specific machinery. • Utilize fleet maintenance software and possibly the Total Tire Maintenance Program.

What You Bring

Qualifications include at least one year of heavy‑equipment diesel maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to operate tools, communicate repair needs, diagnose defects, and use fleet maintenance software. No formal education is required, though knowledge of the Total Tire Maintenance Program may be needed. The role may require air travel, so candidates must possess a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative. • Minimum one year of heavy‑equipment diesel maintenance experience. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Ability to operate tools, communicate repair needs, and accurately diagnose equipment defects. • Must obtain a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative for required air travel.
