Assistant Site Manager
Manage field operations, subcontractors, and site activities supporting the Site Manager.

About the Role
The role is to efficiently manage field operations, controlling subcontractors’ day‑to‑day activities and ensuring material supplies are available in partnership with the Site Manager. You will also assist the Site Manager in planning and programming site activities, work safely, and deputise when required, maintaining quality standards to meet customer expectations. • Organise and control labour and sub‑contractors, including weekly planning sheets. • Direct contractors to meet quality standards. • Coordinate material availability with the Site Manager to meet the construction programme. • Ensure compliance with Construction Health and Safety Regulations and company H&S procedures. • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce method statements and risk assessments. • Follow site‑specific environmental action plans and waste‑separation policies. • Liaise daily with the Sales Executive on customer options, variations, and supply/installation of choices. • Coordinate resolution of customer issues with the Sales Executive. • Arrange and attend National House Builders Council and local authority stage inspections. • Assist the Site Manager with Home Quality Inspection and ensure defect‑free completion at legal handover. • Perform regular property inspections, compile snagging lists, and ensure contractors follow drawings and specifications. • Support the Site Manager in maintaining street‑scene compliance with franchise rules. • Ensure waste disposal skips are available and that sub‑contractors separate waste according to policy.

What You Bring
A trade background is essential, along with an NVQ Level 4 in Residential Construction Site Supervision, detailed knowledge of the building process, NHBC and Building Regulations, first‑aid qualification, and a CSCS Manager/Supervisor card.
